Moved to a new appartment, account is locked, hotmail doesnt get "unlock" mail.

I wanted to try out a new build idea, with old characters, before 3.16, went live. So I logged in (first time in my new apartment), and was met with a "your account as been locked, as it was accessed from another location".
Takes me a minuet to register that, its been locked (after carefully reading the text), I try to use the "resent email" button, and go look for my old hotmail account login info (I hardly ever use it anymore), found it and logged into it, and theres no "unlock mail" sent to it. maybe servers are just slow atm? So I give it a few hours, nothing. I tried logging in again and once again hit the "resend email" button. It still doesnt show up. I made a new account instead (with a new email) and might just "rebuy" some stash tabs again, to deal with this issue (i doubt i'l move out of this apartment anytime soon, so it should be good for years again). However, I cant help think, what if oneday the same thing happends again? like if I move out 5 years from now, to a new place? will I have to do the same? rebuy stash tabs ect? " The use of the "reset" link was first mistake. Don't do that. When GGG's security system detect "someone" trying to login from a new account from a new IP, their security system kicks in. That means that an e-mail is sent to the account e-mail with an unlock code that you have to type in. To make sure you get this, you have to do the following --> 1. Make sure GGG's e-mail (support@grindinggear.com) is whitelisted with your e-mail provider / add it to your e-mail client whitelist system !! 2. Add the GGG e-mail (support@grindinggear.com) to your contact list. 3. Check your SPAM folder for the e-mail. GGG doesn't handle account related stuff like this via the forum, so if you need more help, you will have to e-mail support@grindinggear.com from the e-mail connected to your account. |

" I just checked, everywhere on hotmail, and finally found unwanted mails, and for some darn reason, grindinggears was on it (this must have been a mis click or something from me). I removed it, and added "support@grindinggear.com" to safe senders and domains. Hopefully this fix's it. refreshing hotmail, and trying the resend button again. |

" Lmao.... Hotmail for some reason (probably because I hardly ever use it), wanted me to varify the account as well hhahahah. Sadly, the way to do that, was to accept a email to a even older linked, free email account (at sol.dk), which I cant even remember the login too. So its currently locked, luckily, this account was only used for a few games (utopia, and PoE, a few others). This is too much of a hassel, I'll just buy stash tabs for new account lol. " You could e-mail GGG from your new e-mail (that is verified + have MFA on it) and ask them to change the e-mail on your account. This will trigger the "account owner verification process" where GGG will send you some e-mails with questions thyat you have to answer and if you do this correct, then the e-mail on the account will get changed. |

So I made a new account ( since I was forced to it ). Couldnt get old hotmail account unfrozen, since it was linked to a older accoutn I couldnt remember the password too. So after 3 days of playing on my 2nd account, guess what happends? I get banned! >_> reason? too many accounts! omg..... I got so screwed over by the "logged in from a nother location" thingy, simply because I moved to a new appartment. Then I get doublely so, when apparently haveing 2 accounts, is too many. (when I cant even access or use the old one) Have mercy on me GGG, I love your game, I have spent like 40$ on it. Played it on and off, for years. Recammended it to everyone. Can I please not get my new account banned? I was enjoying scourge. |

" But why didn't you just do as adviced and got the issue fixed with the existing account without making a new one ?? Also if your new account got banned, you can appeal the ban and give then reason that your old account was lost due to the hotmail thing (give info on that account like the e-mail used on it, the account name and 2 - 3 chars on it). |

I figoured it wouldn't work or be worth the hassel. Jokes on me now. I tried useing "support@grindinggear.com" (written from my email) when my new account got banned. And I did use "appeal the ban" option (its the only thing you can do, on the account, cant even post on forums with it, which is why Im useing this account to write here). We'll see how it goes, its been a few hours now, maybe by tomorrow, its unbanned? Im hopefull. It would suck, if my poe life, is ended by this silly varification thingy, after moveing to a new appartment, and a old hotmail account. |

Okay guys! Good news.
GGG staff are quick workers, and already fixed it (unbanned me) (this is that new account)! Heros... Im off to buy some stash tabs, as a way to show some support & love. |
