Multiplayer link between PS4 and PS5

Was disappointed to find out POE doesn't support couch coop like Diablo III, which made it so much more enjoyable to play with my partner.
And it's not available on PS3 so we could join in a cross platform game.

It's available for the PS5 so I'm wondering if we can coop joining in a game from the PS4 and PS5. Haven't got the Ps5 yet, so this would help in our decision.

Not couch coop, but yes, you can play PS4 and PS5 mixed groups.

You'll need 2 TVs, 2 systems, and 2 PSN accounts (PS+ not required).
