Elemental hit doing 0 damage even on level 1 mob

Hi,
Can anyone advise why my character is doing 0 damage using elemental hit? https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/linvicch/characters?characterName=MadeOfTOFU I tried resetting everything, also reset gem to level 1 using orb of regret. nothing works :( Last bumped on Oct 6, 2021, 9:34:36 AM

Character is using a Storm Rain, which is good since EH scales with gem level rather than weapon's damage.
Your low level also make sure you are not wearing some unique that bars you from dealing certain damage - and by the way you are not wearing any of the such You don't have Avatar of Fire allocated, so that too is out of question. There does not seem to be anything that suggests that your EH's DPS is 0. That said, using a lv1 EH against a lv25 mob may result in dealing pretty much no damage at all. Just to be totally, completely sure, try backtracking to Lv2 Coast and try hitting something there. If you still deal 0 damage, then there do is something wrong in the character that I'm failing to see |

Failed interaction between Storm Cloud and Elemental Hit, perhaps?
Since Elemental Hit only deals the type of damage it rolls and Storm Cloud only deals lightning damage, it might cancel out. Get a non-unique bow, any bow, and test again. Also, don't fall into the "equip only uniques" trap while leveling, you'll only hit a brick wall with regards to resistances and life. |

"Elemental Hit has base damage for each element built into the gem. It will get a slight boost from Storm Cloud when the attack chooses lightning damage, but will still do cold and fire as well when those elements are chosen. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.
