Currently, veiled and unveiled modifiers do not count as crafted modifiers, so you can definitely use the crafting bench to add a crafted modifier after adding an (un)veiled one to your items.
It is worth noting that crafted versions of veiled modifiers that are protected by meta mods currently prevent T4 Aisling from replacing a modifier with a veiled one, but it is still possible to add such a modifier after the veiled modifier has been added to the item. While unveiling a veiled modifier does not respect meta mods like "cannot roll attack / caster mods", it cannot roll a modifier from a mod group that is already present on the item. That means that you can bench craft a lower version of a veiled modifier, and that modifier will never appear as an option to unveil. Picking an undesirable mod with the highest weight will significantly improve your chances of getting a desirable mod as a choice to unveil. You can of course also still use exalted orbs after unveiling a modifier, though in most cases that will not be worth it of course. |
