Expediton Bosses Uhtred and Olroth are way to rare. Havent seen one of them while No Lifeing PoE

Ive played stupid amounts of Time this League, run almost all my Logbooks, etc.

BUT

Apparently you need to unlock those Bosses on ONE CHARACKTER

What Bullshit is this?

So I need to play a Chara I dont enjoy anymore just to keep progressing the Boss unlock?
This just doesnt make any Sense to me in a Temp League.
On top of it taking WAY TO LONG
How many Logbooks am I supoosed to run until they unlo9ck or whatever?

Just let the Questline continue when I play a different Charackter, pretty please.
At this point I dont think I will ever see them.

And dont start me on there respectivly Challange Rewards -.-*

Call me stupid but this system sucks that i havent seen the other Bosses as of yet

Uthred spawns only in Order of the Chalice area 75+
Olroth spawns only in Knights of the Sun area 81+

So if you keep playing Druids of the Broken or Black Scythe mercenaries you will never see them.

Each faction spawns one Boss only.

It's not random.

Spawn rate is about 1 in 8-10 logbooks. Not that bad. Not great, not terrible. Kindda like Chernobyl.

Oh cool, so the change in Questline after reading X Amounts of Ancient Texts was not the indicator I took it for. lol

Actually you could be also right. I didn't realize that. There may be story checkpoints to actually unlock bosses. But the requirements of area lvl and faction for the bosses to spawn still hold.

I am pretty sure Olroth can't spawn until you reach the end and you are asked to search the Triskelion Flame.

Anyway, just so that you know where you are in the story line here are the texts:

- introduction stories 7
- Journey 2
- Arrival 5
- Colonization 4
- Darkness descends 5
- Olroth's journal 5
- Broken Circle 4
- The priesthood 4
- Last to Fall 5

I agree it's a bit long. One piece of advice. When you get a logbook with 2 subterranean areas go in one, then talk to Dannig and then go into the second one. You will get 2 pieces of text this way.

I got the black scythe boss on my very first logbook so I don't think there are any unlock prerequisites.

Yeah I got that questline update on one chara. After switching to a new one I had to restart the questline and since then havent unlocked that part again.

Its absolutly to long for a Chara based reset.
Kinda insane to think about lol.

I also had seen some short sneak peak videos of one of the missing fights which looked to be in a seperate arena instead of in the middle of the Logbook. Made me think its something to unlock instead of just runnning a different logbook.

Nah. That's just how they spawn. Uthred and Olroth have their own arena due to their mechanics. If you think about it also Vorana has an arena, it's just on the map. The only one romaning the map is Medved. But besides that, they all actually spawn the same and look the same on the map.

You've been lucky. I'm 30+ knights of the sun 81+ logbooks in and no boss so far.

No mate. You've been unlucky. I ran 500+ logbooks. Got 3 consecutive spawns streak and 20 no spawn streak. It averages out.

Don't think I ever got a 30+ no boss streak though. However even 500+ logbooks is a very small sample... so for sure it can happen.

You need to learn the difference between "I've been unlucky" and "You've been lucky".

There's a very good reason why a guaranteed Olroth logbook is about 7-8 times more expensive than the cheapest 81+ Knights of the Sun logbook. Market works with very large samples and settles on averages which in this case is about 1 in 8. About the same I got in about 500+ logbooks.

So, when you play a game of probabilities, unless there's a pity counter implemented (a guaranteed drop or spawn after X cycles), you will always have the very lucky and the very unlucky players posting in forums.

Now, if you want to debate the 1 in 8 spawn rate, that is your right to do so. Just don't insult mathematics.
