Flask enchantment doesn't work with totems
This mod "Used when you hit a rare or unique enemy" doesn't seem to trigger with totems. Not sure if that is a bug but it seems weird that i can't use this mod just because i use totems? Change from: "When you" to "When you or your totems" if it's not a bug. Last edited by kompaniet#2874 on Sep 12, 2021, 4:36:20 PM Last bumped on Sep 18, 2021, 11:29:15 AM

Just going by the wording, as with everything, totems are not "You". But yeah, it is dumb.
Hurr durr QoL for flasks, hurr durr but only if you self-cast. Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

I mean, it's obviously not a bug. Lots of things aren't supposed to trigger when you hit an enemy with totems, traps, or mines... it's the downside of (ab)using such a safe playstyle.
Or would you prefer having damage dealt by your totems/traps/mines be reflected to YOU, just so you can run this flask mod? Because you can't have it both ways. |

" honestly...yea that would be way better! This would mean that totems could leech for you, apply curses for you, etc. And the only downside is no longer being able to run reflect? Sign me up! I know that isn't QUITE the point you were trying to make but it wasn't a great comparison lol. |

Totems can apply curses and they gain on hit effects, just not those that specifically say "when YOU hit" or "when YOU crit".
Remember the saying "You are the totem, but the totem isn't you" :) |

Another thing I just noticed with the totems and ancestral bond keystone while doing Heist contracts/grand Heists is that when you place the totems out in front of you on guards that haven't been aggro'd that the totems won't recognize them as combatants but until your character actually aggro's them via another skill or gets within aggro range where the guards begin to attack you first, is when the totems will then start attacking. Not a very pro-active capability in this sense, and I am left wondering if this could require a fix so that totems will be able to recognize an unaggro'd foe and begin attacking BEFORE the gaurds aggro to YOU?

" yes i have noticed something like that but not paid much attention to it. i don't know how things work in heist. " hextouch does not support totems. is there another way to apply the curses? Last edited by kompaniet#2874 on Sep 14, 2021, 11:23:50 AM

" hextouch does not support totems. is there another way to apply the curses?[/quote] I use self-Cast despair myself (linked in my wand with Summon Lightning Golem and Culling Strike), which the curse will apply the added chaos dmg taken to enemies from the dmg totems are shelling out. Not sure about the doom from self-casting but I think it works as well. Just gotta make sure to keep summoning your lightning golem in-between the sequence of totems bc it thinks it can face-tank everything it seems lol Last edited by AShugars#6351 on Sep 14, 2021, 11:31:22 AM
