Point of the beastcraft "double corrupt a map"?

Maps don't get corrupted implicits or anything, so what benefit does this beastcraft have over using a vaal orb?

more likely to get both 8 mods and become unidentified(which is even more quant)

ah yes, 8 mod unidentified would be otherwise impossible, I assume. Makes sense.
