Maven Beacon

I think I've been "lucky" to get this to drop in my first T6 map. Trying to find out what the thing does, I've read countless posts on people complaining that they cant find it.

However - what do I do with it?

The T6 map was way out of my league, with the boss killing me 5 times & me barely getting him before my 6th life went.

Therefore I dont want to continue further at the moment but I also dont want to waste it & I cant seem to store it anywhere.

Having it take up room in inventory is a nuisance

What do I do with it, without wasting it but also remaining in content that I have a slight chance in (ie white Maps)?

Click your map device. The beacon should be consumed and “upgrades” your map device for the rest of the league to unlock Maven endgame fights.

At a first glance the thread title had me thinking this was a thread about typing tutors.
