Question about Currency Trade

I'm sorry because this has got to sound like one of the newbieiest questions even I have ever heard but I don't want to get this wrong.

I am in need of Chromatic Orbs. Normally I go through a lot of them through a standard gameplay. Plus now that I know how to change corrupted items with Chroma and Vaal together I am using more (not that often thanks to some great folks who showed me how to use them wisely).

In the trade channel though, which I have never before needed to use for Chromatics (I usually have enough), I noticed that some people have listed between 1,000 to 5,000 Chromatic Orbs for .5 chaos gem.

First off, I'm not going to buy anything for a .5 chaos gem simply because that is going to get too confusing to me. Tell me what you want and I'll give exactly that. No problem. But Anyhow, my question is this... are they *really* selling 5,000 chromatics all for that single .5 chaos gem???

First, I'm pretty sure you can't even hold that many chromatics at one time (in the stash, yeah sure, but in your "backpack" I doubt it). So that makes it seem like a ton of effort considering that you'll probably have to go to *their hideout and *their stash to start getting the chromatic orbs and then have to travel to your hideout and drop them in to your stash and travel back and forth doing that over and over to get 5,000.

I think you could buy 1,000 and get all of that in one haul in your backpack but not 5,000.

So basically my question is simple.

For the trade currency channel, are you really buying what it looks like your buying on the screen or are you buying like a stack of 20 for .5 chaos gem and they have a bulk of 5,000 (for instance) to fall back on to give you. Like going to Wally world and they have 5,000 boxes of Quik Chocolate Milk Mix (I am really wanting chocolate milk right now) and you can buy one box for .5 chaos gem or 2500 chaos gems for all of the boxes of mix.

If you really are getting so many chromatics for so little a price, I'm just a bit amazed considering how many I personally blast through lol.

im not sure what 'trade currency channel' you're talking about.

but i suspect you're seeing 2 different things.
1 is the price. Chrome for .5 chaos.
2 is the TOTAL stock they have, 1k, 5k, etc.

so, i assume theyre selling 1 chrome for HALF a chaos. or 2 chromes : 1 c.


this is a bad price no matter what league you're in
in league, you can get about 17 chromes for 2 chaos (8.5 : 1)
in standard, you can get about 3 chromes for 1 chaos.

Ahhhhh!!! I did not know about the bulk exchange! Thank you very much! That is one thing I love about this game. Always something new to learn lol
