"Increased damage to exerted attacks" - ?

Hi,

I have been using PoB to try to calculate my Rage Vortex build's actual DPS. Where it lists the bonus for Exerted Attacks, it reports a multiplier of 2.55. I have 70% increased damage to exerted attacks from the passive tree, and I'm using War Bringer for a 1.5 multiplier. If PoB is correct, it seems to imply that "increased damage to exerted attacks" is a multiplicative bonus with other sources of increased damage (1.7*1.5=2.55 multi). That seems way too good to be true, but is it?

In terms of the actual DPS calculations, POB appears to be correctly calculating it as additive increase and not multiplicative as in the "Exerting Warcries" section. If you mouse over the "MH Total Increased" 91% under "Skill Hit Damage" section, you can see it lists "19.63 Uptime Scaled Exerted Attacks," which is consistent with the calculated 28% uptime * 70% increased damage to exerted attacks. You can see that 19.63% is additive with all the other increased damage (total inc/red of 4.8763 under the 11,862 to 17,782 breakdown) and not a separate multiplier as implied by the "Exerting Warcries" section:



In my opinion, it would be less misleading and more accurate for the "Avg Dmg Effect" part of "Exerting Warcries" section to calculate the proportional more damage from the additional increased and multiply that by the more damage, not trying to pretend there's no other increased damage on your character. E.g. it should be doing (4.68 + 0.70)/4.68 = 1.14957 and multiplying that by the 50% more in order to arrive at 1.7244 Avg Dmg Effect, not 2.55 Avg Dmg Effect.

But it does it correctly at the level of Total DPS.

Hi adghar, thank you for your response. That makes sense now. Thank you for submitting the bug report. I submitted a PoB feature request today to force 100% uptime scaling on the exerted warcries, since you can do that if you time out the rage vortexes instead of spamming them at the minimum attack interval. Crossing my fingers that both get fixed.
