direction this game is going will decide the future of the game

this is similar to many other games that big corporations have taken over and bought it starts like this every time they make decisions that 80% of players don't like, and complain about
and the game developers are not listening to it and are still making their stupid changes that no one likes then everybody stops play the game and another game on a similar theme takes over the market Last bumped on Aug 23, 2021, 10:06:57 AM

The title here is funny. You're right, of course. Still funny, though.

" You don't speak for me. Or indeed for anyone, save yourself. And who're they losing to btw? Grim Dawn has 5600 players. Last Epoch has about 1400. Warhammer Inquisitor has 550. PoE still has more than all of them combined, several times over. What, the D2 remake that's hoping to coast on nostalgia? Most likely dead within months. So who's poised to take over the market here huh? Last edited by Exile009#1139 on Aug 22, 2021, 8:03:10 AM

" The changes this league aren't as drastic or dramatic as some players make them out to be. TONS of players that dislike some changes are still playing and having fun. Why? Because PoE is still the best option in the genre - and still is a good game despite some changes. The game will survive. Some players might quit, some new players might arrive. We ALL know that these nerfs aren't 'job done'. The job will continue over the next leagues. What they'll do to bad/underused skills will be important. If they do nothing, there will be uproar in the community. As I see it, the focus of the next league needs to cover four main areas: 1) They need to buff some of end game farming strategies. 2) They need to lower the gap between bad skills and good skills, as well as the gap between gem scaling skills and weapon scaling skills - by BUFFING the bad ones. 3) They NEED to improve the quality of item drops drastically, and lower the quantity. 4) They need to improve defenses Point 3 and 4 have already been confirmed as something they're working on, parlty also point 1. IF they work on these four areas of the game, most of the 3.15 ners were a good idea. They've already said that these nerfs will make room for future power creep. It's their design model. We WILL get buffs over time. 3.15 was like hitting the reset button. The work begins NOW. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Aug 22, 2021, 8:10:34 AM

"Well the last 5 years didn't decide the future of the game, as everyone is experiencing now. Game is subject to change at any time, for any reason , and in any direction. |
|
" That's very true. I absolutely hate what they did to the game, but if anyone asks me if it's still the best ARPG on the market and the best ARPG I've ever played, I'll say by FAR because nothing really stands up to it. |

" He did. 23% of the player base was vaporized instantly. The remaining chunk of the unlucky half just took slightly longer to dissipitate. |
