Controlled Destruction feedback

So Controlled Destruction support's drawback was changed in 3.15 to have 80% less critical strike chance instead of 100% reduced.

I think that instead of granting less critical strike chance, it should instead grant less critical strike multiplier (or extra damage from crits, etc) instead, so as to not adversely affect builds that still use Elemental Overload, as these builds need all the crit chance they could get in order to proc the Keystone's effects. The intended purpose of the skill gem is preserved, and non-crit spell builds benefit. What do you guys think?

I think they intentionally limited the interaction between this gem and Elemental Overload. And I like it.
Yes, it was too easy to overcome the gem drawback and in return it gave too much power compared to other support gems. Now is more on par with other supports that are viable for similar builds and you are now forced to proc EO with another skill, like it was always meant to be, or using another support gem instead of controlled destruction if your skill hits fast enough.

Procing EO was never very viable for a main skill, if you wanted 100% uptime you always have another fast hitting spell with better than average crit and even inc crit support on it just to proc EO and EE at same time.
