Does it work for (unique) flasks, too? Was very hesitant to try anything on legacy flasks in Standard, but with this, I might try.

A lot of "high tier" crafting groups use enchantments to "lock" their item, also a lot of older items for instance demi gods with enchantments were sold for a lot less sometimes upto a mirror less, now they can have the enchantment removed.

You can't dupe them anymore though, so there's that. Still good for imprinting tho.

I don't think the Mirror Mafia is affected by this change.
This was a problem before 3.14 Ultimatum because groups of people could endlessly beast split perfect bases and apply enchants to them to make sure no one could "steal" their base and the the same.
So these groups were pumping literal thousands of bases with ring/armour/weapon/helm enchants et.c. onto the market.

This gave players easy access to powerful bases, but the Enchanted modifiers couldn't be beastsplit so this acted as protection for those engaged in creating the bases and made them hundreds of mirrors.
Everyoone know how detrimental it was to the game when a select few were pumping 6-linked whtie socketed astral plates/Vaal Regalias with +1 Spectres and 35% Chaos Resistance or T1 Phys dmg, T1 %Increased damage foils et.c and what not onto the market.

Since GGG added the split tag after beast splitting these groups of people can't massdupe items any longer. You can only make 1 copy of an item meaning these groups that collectively used Beast Frogs for dozens of mirrors to create perfect bases can't make their money back any longer.

Being able to remove enchants from items won't affect the Mirror Maffia as beast splitting isn't a thing anymore. What the mirror Maffia does right now is price fix the price of mirrors because they own the market and engage in RMT. That's another issue.

Being able to remove enchants was probably just put in to be able to reset flask enchants because some of them broke your flask and made it acts in ways you didn't want to.

i would say what was detrimental to the game was that the bases were mass produced and widely available. that was bad for the game, the fact it was a select few doing it was fine, they put in the effort to make the bases, work all this stuff out and set up the factory. nothing was stopping other people from doing it its just other people who wished they were doing it were too stupid or lazy to make it happen.
