The Writhing Jar's worms, do not proliferate damaging ailments from them (but can receive them)

I have tested the worms vigorously and have found the following conditions.

When hit by a single attack with 100% poison chance:
-They will receive the poison (it is reflected with the golden rule)
-Other Worms nearby will not receive the poison when under the effects of pathfinders prolif or Bino's Kitchen knife, even when the worms are directly next to each other
-When next to a normal monster the normal monster will not receive the poison if the worm is hit
-When the worms are next to a normal monster and the normal monster is hit the worms WILL receive the poison prolif and die.

When hit buy a single hit with 100% chance to ignite:
-Exactly the same as above, with the addition of the nearby monsters have the visual effect of being ignited for a micro second before going away and dealing no damage.

It appears to me that there is some sort of hard coding stopping proliferation from worms which sucks heaps as I'm sure many players would have probably tried to make a worm poison prolif style build and it partially failing as there is no explanation as to why it shouldn't work on the flask's description or in any forum answer I could find.

Please update the flask's description or fix the interaction so it works.

Just to be clear, there are other effect similar which do work for example, Pestilent Strike's debuff is applied by the jar's worms to and from other worms and monsters, yet why can't the poisons itself proliferate from them??

My feeling is, that due to the nature of how often the worms have broken the game in the past, this bug is possibly intended. If the interaction is too strong to be in the game, at least include it in the description of the item!

Apologies if the post is coming off as hostile as I have just finished levelling a character to maps only to find out the core mechanic of my build (poisons being proliferated by worms) does not work at all!
