Question about catalysts
I've come back to PoE after a long break, and there are all these new mechanics and currencies I don't fully understand, and you can understand only so much from reading tooltips and forums.
I couldn't find a list of what catalyst affects what suffix/prefix/implicit/explicit anywhere, nor any special cases regarding uniques. I also don't feel like wasting a ton of orbs to find out. In particular, I want to use Turbulent Catalysts on my ring to increase the percentage of physical to chaos added damage, but I don't even know if it will be affected? Any clarification and/or links to a datasheet would be much appreciated. Thanks EDIT: turns out chaos is not elemental so I should be using Noxious catalysts, and on the wiki those have a list, and an explanation https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Noxious_Catalyst Last edited by Vorax_Fintan#7189 on Aug 11, 2021, 4:14:20 PM Last bumped on Aug 11, 2021, 5:38:55 PM

Turbulent catalyst: Adds quality that enhances Elemental Damage modifiers on a ring, amulet or belt
mings heart - Gain 20% of Physical Damage as Extra Chaos Damage Neither physical nor chaos is 'elemental damage'. Turbulent do NOTHING here. https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Catalyst you want "noxious" catalysts - Adds quality that enhances Physical and Chaos Damage modifiers and yes, i got all of that from just reading the tooltips on each catalyst. |

The Catalyst section of the wiki will tell you what each Catalyst enhances. Noxious buffs physical and chaos modifiers.
20% quality with a Catalyst makes all relevant mods 20% better as well as 20% more likely to roll. If you have 20% physical damage as extra chaos damage, with Noxious 20% you will have 24%. |
