Kaom's Sign to Kaom's Way Ring

Hi guys, so I have the King's Path prophecy already activated and I went to Kaom, killed him but my ring didnt turn into Kaom's Way. I first killed him with the ring in my inventory and the second time, I killed him with it equiped but nothing. It doesn't turn into Kaom's way ring. Does it not work anymore? Am I doing something wrong? Any feedbackwould help, thanks guys!

No, there not.

I even tried it equipped one time and still nothing. Doesn't make any sense and I followed what it told me to do when I went to the poe wiki about the steps. So, incase this helps, I'm a level 80 chieftan, I went back to Kaom's stronghold with the prophecy already activated, killed him with the ring in my inventory, killed him with it equipped and nothing.

Did you mixed up the name of the ring?

Another question, is it a regular Kaom's Sign ring? The alt art race reward one can't be upgraded IIRC.
