"Hits Against Monsters Cannot be Critical Strikes" - PLEASE make this Yellow mod asap
So once more I encountered this mod.. as my build is crit and crit is still in the game (perhaps not in POE2) I feel this is the same as Immunity mods.. which are labeled in bright yellow.
Right now with my MAIN build.. I literally have to watch ALL mods, all the text.. which is kinda annoying, I mean if you made Immunities YELLOW then please make this YELLOW too as it is IMMUNITY in short. If not, remove the yellow markers from Immunities from other sources to make it a level playing field atleast.. feels super frustrating when I pop my explosives and then turns out I missed a white text that says my build cannot do damage........ ![]() Mathils actual cat Last bumped on Aug 14, 2021, 9:52:53 PM

the request seems reasonable, but there is a problem with it
i have seen the same request for a few other mods and all of these mods have some kind of very dangerous effect the thing is,if you make too many mods yellow ppl will "stop" reading them sure theyy could add a few mods more to it,but where do you draw the line? atm all effects that make you unable to kill monsters are yellow cant be crits or similiar mods dont make you unable to kill monsters even though they can push the difficulty to nearly impossible (i.e. monsters kill with less than 20% life against low life builds) these builds are atleast technically able to do these mods maybe a 3rd color would be an option |

Omg, you know what this mean? Time for map mods filters... |

" i dont need it myself, but this could be usefull on mapmods too if they chose certain colors for type of mods i.e. blue for monster life/def mods, red for dmg increase mods, yellow for utility like curses or ground areas it would be QoL and only should be added with an option to turn it off as long as such an option would be there,i see no harm in doing something so simple for QoL |

" Yes but this is IMMUNE mod.. Literally they could just write "MONSTERS ARE IMMUNE TO CRITS". This is why Immunity to any sort of damage sucks and doesnt belong to POE. But its worse for crit builds as GGG dont even bring it out in different colour... Mathils actual cat Last edited by HDTanel#2691 on Aug 5, 2021, 3:10:18 PM

" its not immune every crit build can deal dmg with non crit hits ofc it will be a lot harder since yoyur dmg will suck, but you will deal dmg this is a significant difference btw even if you had 100% crit you would deal dmg, this mod simply disables crit dmg bonus and nothing else if they wrote "monsters are immune to crits" if would be and have to be in yellow |

" This is incorrect. It does not disable critical strikes, it causes critical strikes to do zero damage. If you have 100% critical strike chance you will do 0 damage. This is not "Critical strikes deal no bonus damage", it is "Critical strikes cannot hit". |

I agree this kind of mods should be easier to detect but like someone else said there's already too much yellow mods, maybe a different color for those extra mods. Or fix it be critical strikes against monsters have 100% multiplier so at least you do the base damage.
Personally I strongly hate this mechanic of completely disabling builds both on maps and now on this league mechanic. Many times the cool stuff is locked behind those mods you can't do and even in some maps the remnants are placed in a way you can't go through them so you either just detonate a few monsters somewhere else or you don't bother at all. Risk reward is also very bad considering the risk of many of these mods that you can easily not detect unless you spend a good time reading all stuff which is not a very fun thing to do. Specially those mods like monsters don't give flask charges when slain and can't leech can make an encounter from super hard to utterly unbeatable if you didn't bring and enduring mana flask in some cases and didn't notice that mod. |

You are not missing much by ignoring the mod you can't do. Like 30 artifacts or so

Thing is you sometimes miss that dangerous mod because is not that easy to detect, or you would have to spend considerable time reading too much stuff you don't want to. That's what the OP said basically.
Personally I would simply remove all stuff in the game that prevents builds from playing the game. They did it long time ago with the removal of ailment immunity from bosses and CI from some bosses too. |
