Why would GGG nerf a build mid league all of a sudden?

Yeah, you are calling it a bug, but this "bug" has been in the game for years. So now after people have invested currency into builds, you nerf it. This is why you shouldn't nerf builds mid league. They didn't use to do it. Over time, the team has changed and mid league changes have become common.
A fact is a statement that can be supported to be true or false by data or evidence. In contrast, an opinion is a personal expression of a person’s feelings or thoughts that may or may not be based in data.

Isn't it a bug if you can use an 'unarmed' skill with a weapon? But yeah, I agree they shouldn't change it mid-league.

It wasn't a bug if skill's wording remained unchanged.
Skill needed empty main hand (sic!) - skill got the empty main hand. I still can't understand why it had to be "fixed" in such utmost emergency when there are much more pressing concerns regarding gems balance around. My questions in regard to competence of these fix makers were fully answered with this "fix". The only reliable way to stop the epidemy is to eliminate even slightest chance to have a contact with contagious person/thing/creature/whatever.
