Tormented Temptress is the most tedious battle for a casual player so far

Just finished Whakawairua Tuahu. I'm a casual player, so I only reached maps this week. And the boss fight took me more time than the whole map before it.

And it's not that it was a hard tough battle. It was boring and tedious. Because of freaking Proximity Shield and teleport spam, and cold waves on top.
Luckily, I'm playing an Elementalist, so she couldn't actually damage me through the Elemental Aegis, but I could only hit her with an occasional Firewall (since it's a ground effect), Tempest Shield proc and probably golems.

Can't imagine what it would be to try to catch her as a melee character. It's level 71, guys, come on, it shouldn't be that bad.

In fact it is much better than the snake boss in the crossroad vaal side-area...especially before the general vaal nerf(fast movement speed - bone rain - bleeding projectile) though still a terrible fight indeed.

p.s. try trap if you cannot catch her

yeah... so if ur a puncture trapper or something you can blitz down this creature easy game. if ur some kind of strike melee that isnt flicker strike and has no chill protection etc... oh god, oh god why is this fight a thing? proper suicide watch business.


i guess the thing is its a unique map, you suffer it once for completion i guess if ur a build who hates it, or just forget the boss, sell the map, whatever. i dunno if its an excuse for it existing, it might be, it might be a thing that a unique map is so optional side content that you can have a troll, build restrictive encounter like this and its absolutely fine. maybe.

I remember when I first started the game, and went in to fight her. Looking back it was quite funny. I had no idea how to win, and was too dumb to figure it out. I just logged out after a loooong time.
