Can't start the game after the update today (3oth of July)

When I start the pathofexile.exe I get a dialog stating "your pack files needs to be repaired. Please run the packcheck.exe repair tool to fix it"

When I run in command prompt the packcheck.exe I get an error "The system cannot execute the specified program."

OS is windows 10 pro - POE worked still yesterday night, today came some small patch which ruined things - at least in my computer.

try starting the "command prompt" as "an administrator and then run the program.
Maybe first try to check your drive --> chkdsk c: /f assuming that PoE is on the C drive with your system.

I ran the packcheck.exe in command prompt - which was started with admin rights.

I also checked the drive where I have POE installed (its in C drive in my case), and found no errors.

then you will properly need to uninstall the game, then delete ALL the temp folder / profile folders and try installing it again.
Or e-mail GGG support and ask for what to do.
Right - reinstalling the game. I noted that the size of the Content.ggpk is 32.9 GB and now when the installer is downloading the same file again, its size is going to be only 24.4 GB.

Its possible that when my system BSDed, the file in question got corrupted (crash occured during the patching - I think).

GGG's way of using the content.ggpk file is making it defragment and become larger and larger.
They did a change some time ago to fix this, but it didn't.
Someone wrote a 3 party tool to fix this......

Ok. Just wanted to report everything is back normal, when I reinstalled the game.
good to hear.
First day/patch got the same thing, bsod/corrupted/reinstalled. I had the free time then.

New patch-mid patch/bsod same shit. Now reinstalling it.

Ryzen 7 3700x, 16 gb 3200 ram, 5700 xt. Crashed sooo many times in game when opening new maps/zones. I don't think I will be doing this to my ssd too many times. No other games have this issue of course.

It's really killing any sort of fun I want to get out of the game.
