Rog removing 'lowest' tier modifiers can remove T1 mods while leaving T2
|
pretty much sums it up.
Item had 4 T1's, a T2, and a T7. rog offered to remove '2 lowest tier mods' item ended up with 3 T1's and the T2, removing a T1 in a category with fewer tiers, I think it was life gain on hit with attacks... super frustrating as it was shaping up to be a legendary attack item, and I didn't need the T2 at all which was spell crit. I suspect internally these tiers are actually counted up from the bottom so T2 spell crit is probably the 'sixth' tier from bottom or something while T1 life gain was only the 'third' from bottom or whatever... still I consider this a bug as It doesn't do what it says it does from the user's point of view. Completely true. has happened to me multiple times, its almost random which mod it removes, and it's especially terrible for mods like '+1 to spell skill gems' , since it seems like it loves removing that.

I think the reddit theory it was removing the mod with the lowest level requirement to spawn instead of the lowest tier.

Came here to post the same thing. Just lost +1 to all cold skill gems while a T6 Mana remained...

Not a bug. It removes the lowest level modifier, not the modifier with the highest/worst tier.
The level of a modifier is the itemlevel where it starts appearing. |
