pls help me math this mana cost i can't figure out why

comparing the 3.14 pre nerf(1 buff) mana multipliers to the new ones in updated pob, the mana cost came to be exactly the same, and i made sure pob accounted for everything including the 7th link from tremor rod, but i can't figure out why or how

numbers on the left is what it was, before nerfs/buff, right is new values in 3.15

ball lightning 26 base cost(lvl 25)
slower proj 140->130
minefield 120->150
charged mines 130->130
trap and mine dmg 130->140
inspiration 115->120
blastchain mines 30->50

then there's -10% cost from anomalous trap and mine dmg, and -44% from inspiration, how was it counted to be 26 in 3.14, EXACTLY, and how is it still counted to be coincidentally also 26 with the new values, i expected much higher

Mana cost reductions, such as Inspiration Support, are applied before multipliers in much the same way Increased/Reduced damage is applied before 'MOAR' effects. Your 26 base cost for Ball Lightning is reduced by 54%, to 11.96, and that cost is what the game uses to start multiplying. It's why mana cost increases/reductions are so impactful - they happen before support gem multipliers.

It's also why people are overreacting to the multiplier adjustments. They are not overwhelmingly difficult to defeat, you just have to take them into account for mana-hungry shit. I.e. actually pay attention to your mana sustain, rather than ignore it and solve the problem incidentally just by existing.

Im sorry, but reduced/increased cost (or damage or whatever) stacks into one multiplier. It is completely irrelevant if the multiplier kicks in before or after other multipliers, because multiplication is commutative.

If I haven't done a mistake, you pay 35 mana per mine.

26 * 1.3 * 1.5 * 1.3 * 1.4 * 1.2 * 0.5 * 0.9 * 0.66 = 35.4161808

I used the order you mentioned the multipliers in your first post.
You say Prison Cell, I hear 'Holiday'.

if the 0.66 is for inspiration, shouldn't it be 0.56 because 1-0.44=0.56 O_o

also pob says 26 and i tried clicking on/off everything related and seems to be accounted for but idk how exactly

this is wrong because

1) he said he has .44 from inspiration not .34 (probably has alternate q)
2) anomalous trap and mine has 10% reduced (not less) thus stacks with inspiration

this is correct:

26 * 1.3 * 1.5 * 1.3 * 1.4 * 1.2 * 0.5 * 0.46

= 25.46
