No Unique One Handed Axes?

I searched the forum previously and did not find a thread concerning this.

Why are there no unique one handed axes? I like to chop things in half D:
I'm pretty sure you can chop things off in half using 2H axes just as good =p

No unique one handed axes... yet!

If you check the patch notes you will see that regularly GGG introduces new uniques. Amongst those uniques are so called Diamond Uniques. These were crafted with on the one hand the gifted and might I add extremely hard working Grinding Gear Games and on the other hand generous/loving/insane/Why would you even, I mean WTF man! (take your pick) fans of the game who have spend a thousand dollars to support them during the various beta stages.

By doing so they have secured 1 unique where they have a bit of control over on what it's going to be and what it looks like.

I think they still do $1000,- support packs. So if you are really really eager spend some coins and in due time you will have your own one handed unique axe.

If I had 1000$ to waste, I totally would. However I don't, so I guess I just have to wait it out for a Unique 1h axe eventually D:
There are two unique one handed axes in planning at the moment which need to wait until I can work out how to modify the game engine to support what they do, and find time to implement it (and then time for testing, etc).

Uniques for all types will come in time.

Do they forbid the use of certain other gear slots? Sort of like how berserkers don't wear any armour on their chests.

Now that I think about it, I'd love an amulet that did that. You are a pimp and you do not need clothes, just this amulet.

e: Ooh, wait. They work with each other, don't they?

Or maybe one is ranged somehow.
