Reaper and immortal minions

Will reaper consume immortal minions? Particularly spiders from arakhali's fang?
Kills from reaper's bleed will summon spiders, that would be a nice self-sustaining supply of minions to consume.
Problem with spiders is that they are summoned in big packs and their duration is not refreshed, so they can disappear all at once in the middle of a fight. Reaper consuming one spider at a time will provide better uptime and QoL for spiders.
Also spiders can compensate for reaper's mediocre clear speed.
Such a good combo, but it probably won't be possible, as the only minion consuming ability Death Wish won't consume immortal minions.
Please make the lord of death Reaper be able to eat tasty little immortal spooders

My guess would be that Reaper won't eat immortal minions.

Otherwise it could eat Skitterbots, for example, which I think would have very odd impacts on game-state.

I think Summon Reaper gem is designed to work well with Summon Phantasm support. It complements it's clear speed, and also creates it's own "food", even during boss fights.

I don't think it's worth using Summon Skeletons, or other "food generator" skill, unless we have enough links to make these secondary minions useful on their own (dps, taunt, etc).

I think reaper itself won't be worth using past mid game. The sheer density of mobs starting at yellow maps will probably quickly overwhelm a character relying on a melee minion that weakens all other minions.

I think spectres will still be the way to go.

Will see how much bonus reaper gets for consuming other minions, but in context of this patch that would probably be about 15% increased attack speed
I don't like idea of phantasms, because then it's necessary to either drop support gem from reaper, or equip soulwrest, losing possibility to scale reaper with weapon slots. Either way reaper damage will suffer
Spiders have good clear on single slot 3-link, meaning second slot is opened for cold iron point or Qotra's Regulator with Necro Aegis for example.
Anyway even if they aren't consumable, I want to try to build around them, going for maximum bleed for reaper.
