My Path of Exile: Nuzlocke Rule Set for People Looking for Extra Challenge
First of all if you are not familiar with what "Nuzlocke" is check this link for information: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Nuzlocke_Challenge.
After trying my first pokemon nuzlocke a while ago and really enjoying it, I decided to make some custom rules for a PoE: Nuzlocke. These are intended for people that like to challenge themselves and experienced players that enjoy trying different things in PoE. If you are a new player or you really like to play only one skill every league and don't enjoy other skills at all, I do not recommend this challenge to you. If you have any suggestions let me know in the comments. So let's get to the rules: ----Path of Exile: Nuzlocke---- ---Win/Lose Conditions--- --Win conditions, pick as many as you want or make your own rules before starting-- - Kill a certain endgame boss that is set before the run starts. Such as Maven, A8, Uber Elder etc.. - Reach level 100. - Collect a certain amount of a certain item. --Lose conditions, pick as many as you want or make your own rules before starting-- - Death if in HC. - Certain amount of deaths if in SC. - Can only attempt the selected endgame boss by set amount of times. If all attempts fail then you lose. - Time limit. By typing /played you can see how long you played a certain character so you can set custom time limits to accomplish you win conditions. ---Must Follow Rules--- - Use RNG to pick your starting class - Can only wear found or quest items as they are found/received. No crafting of any kind is allowed other than one crafted mod from crafting bench (meta mods are not allowed). - Must play in SSF mode. - Must select one of the skill gems you drop or get from league mechanics until act 6 and use it as your main skill, Destroy rest of the skill gems after you reach act 6 and made your choice. Until you drop a gem, either keep using the first gem you get from the shore, or RNG select one gem from the first quest reward from Tarkleigh. ---Optional Rules for Increased Difficulty--- - Play in HC, therefore a character is dead when its dead and the run ends. - If playing in SC drop one item at random that is selected with RNG. - Can not use PoB. - Can not use Wiki. - Can only use found support gems and cannot use gem vendors. - Can not use support gem rewards from quests. - Can not use vendors at all. - Can only pick up one item per area. (can be made to disinclude non-gear items). - Can not equip unique items or can only equip unique items. - Can not chance uniques. - Can not use log macros or limit log macro usage by a set rule such as once every level or once every boss encounter. - Can not join areas that are more than 5 levels lower than the players level. If you happen to level up in an area exceeding the level limit set by this rule you are free to complete the area). - Must kill the unique boss of the area if there is one. - Can not change main skill after completing act 5. - Use RNG to pick ascendancy class. - For a huge boost in difficulty, create a private league and add difficulty mods. -Optional increased difficulty rules per league content- - Anarchy: Must kill a rogue exile if encountered - Domination: Must pick up all shrines encountered - Invasion: Must kill an invasion boss if encountered - Ambush: Must open a strongbox if encountered. For added difficulty, cannot identify strongboxes. For further added difficulty, must corrupt a strongbox before opening it if the player has enough vaal orbs. - Beyond: Must kill a beyond boss if encountered - Torment: Must let spirits to imbue a monster before killing it - Essence: Must break and kill essence monsters if encountered - Breach: Must open a breach if encountered. For added difficulty, must complete all safehouses and mastermind as soon as they become available. - Legion: Must interact with the legion monolith and try to break monsters if encountered. Must break a boss if available and try to kill it. - Blight: Must complete a blight if encountered. - Metamorph: Must construct a metamorph and try to kill it if possible. - Delirium: Must go through delirium mirror and get the first reward to at least 3. - Harvest: Crafting of any kind is already disallowed. - Heist: Must complete main story contracts as they drop.
