What happened to the Gamepedia Wiki?

My link to the gamepedia wiki is redirecting to the fandom wiki and I can not find any information on why or what is going on. Is the gamepedia wiki gone forever? I like it's formatting so much better. Anyone with any info?

Wikia, now known as Fandom, bought out Gamepedia from Curse in 2018. They've been in the process of converting everything over to Fandom. Gamepedia is dead. The whole situation is pretty awful, Fandom got a bunch of investments and have been buying things up with the sole intent of ruining them and filling them with ads, terrible navigation, and formats designed for viewing on a mobile device.
Well, nice to know I'm not the only one that feels that way about Fandom. Thank you for the Information Astasia.

Adblock :)

And I don't browse those sites on my phone anyway.
We need to keep our eyes open for a third party site that ports over the functional gamepedia wiki and snatch it out from under the chinese owners.
Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive.
Patch Notes 3.19:
Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment.
Brave browser blocks the ads part, But agreed this new fandom wiki is awful.
Did a little digging into the history of fandom. Since 2006 Amazon has been dumping tens of millions into investing in it. This of course gave confidence to other companies to invest as well seeing it as a low risk investment.

Through the years you can see the shuffling around of ceos as they slowly get the company infrastructure built so they can advance to the next phase.

Then around 2018 you can see them go on a buyout spree. They bought Screen Junkies, Defy Media, Curse LLC, Gamepedia, D&D Beyond, Futhead, Muthead, Straw Poll, and Focus Multimedia an e-commerce platform.

Bezos the monopoly expert.
I have shared my layout customizations for uBlock Origin or userContent.css that remove the new stuff on the wiki pages.
I guess it's either 1 or 48,000. Nothing in between, right?
I also see they like to advertise porn. As a middle aged man, it doesn't bother me to much personally. But this game isn't just for adults and if I still had small children playing the game, I wouldn't be happy. And I have AdBlock. Some of their ads are getting through.

But my question is, GGG, how do you feel about your trademarks being used to promote porn? Don't you have any kind of licensing rules? Don't you enforce them?

I'm afraid the loss of the old Gamepedia site is going to be one more thing adding to the eventual downfall of PoE. :(

I actually like that last part. I often do PoE research on my phone.
