What happened to the PoE Wiki???

Since yesterday annoying adds show up everywhere and the search box in the right upper corner is often gone, which makes using the website so much harder... .
Any idea what happened? Is this only my own case? Did I accidentally change a setting somewhere? Last bumped on Jul 25, 2021, 6:48:25 PM

They changed their site layout.
Apparently you can get the old look back by creating a Fandom account and then setting: Appearance > Hydra Dark You can still search with the magnifying glass icon - I'm sure you know that and yes it's not as quick as just typing into a search box that's already there. I'm not a fan of new layout myself. Timezone: GMT +10 (Australia). CASUAL player but I play whenever I can.

This is the most hideous website I have ever seen. Great job to the people that decided this, serving a whole community vomit.

The lists of unique items don't even show the stats anymore. You have to mouse over each one individually to see them in the tooltip.

Don't know what you guys are complaining about the website looks fine to me. Only thing that jumped in my mind is the small real estate of the page layout. The search box is useless and always was useless. It's faster to type an incomplete phrase from google even with misspellings to find the right wiki page than it is to type that shit out in the wiki's search box.

It sucks, simply put.
Sure, someone put a lot of work into making it that horrendous, so I guess they thought it was an improvement. Certainly hope someone creates another third party website that's less crammed with ads and provides the content in an accessible manner. Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive. Patch Notes 3.19: Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment. |

the fandom staff member said Hydra skin will be retired. And i have to switch to the new skin to act as tester to debug it (otherwise no one will report the bug and reader without account will never able to read the wiki properly), but i guess the long term solution is GGG host the wiki and can still name it as community-based wiki
