How Much "Magic Find" Is Considered high? (how much do you have?)

How much total "increased item rarity" is considered high or effective enough to make a difference when farming?

What about item quantity?

and how much do you guys run as a "magic find" set?

Most people agree you want quantity at 100 and IIR at 200-300
I used to run 350 iir 30 iiq.
Now that i changed to 310 iir 105 iiq i see a big difference, much more uniques, items and orbs drop.

The 2 stats are synergies so having both of them reasonably high is important if you want to farm efficiently.

Plus high iiq makes finding maps a bit better.

Ps. I farm maps most of the time.

No it doesn't. GGG has said the ONLY thing that can affect drop rates of maps is the implicit drop rate of a map from quality/magic/rare mods.

Ok, i was under the impression that it was, i guess its just placebo on my part.

Well other than that, having high iiq is always beneficial.
350 iir? does that include the gem?

where do you farm with that kind of mf gear? are you able to do the end-game maps with difficult mods or no?

thanks for the input guys

I run 120 iiq & 130 iir.
I don't feel any difference at all. Maybe because I've always used a mf set since low lvl.

Some retarded cookie cutter builds can actually play maps with a 100/350 setup. Most people though cannot (good luck having decent mf on a melee). Big part in this is that the most magic find is found on (low life) uniques that leave your build crippled. So only dual totem / summoners / ranged can usually pull off this kind of stuff.

MF, together with RNG Casino Crafting and RNG endgame entry the biggest fail of PoE :).

Yes my stats include iiq and iir gems.

I run double totem/dual curse and can solo any map in the game.

As for mods on high maps, i like to avoid no mana regen and blood magic, that is impossible for me.

As for other mods, only a double unique piety or vaal would give trouble really.

iiq and iir have diminishing returns <<<

100 iiq 200 iir << focus on this ( inc gems )

after that focus to try and get

200 IIQ and 200 IIR instead of 100iiq - 300iir

100 iiq and 300+ iiq is just mhe

tested t and

150 iiq 198 iir give,s way more ( yellow loot )

then 100 - 300 :)

running 154 iiq and 250 iir

still crafting ilvl77 gold rings for 20 iiq 20-40 iir
