Craft Minion Staff? What Staff is best to use? Staff or Warstaff?

It shouldn't matter; all kinds of staves can have minion modifiers.

That being said, because warstaves can't roll caster modifiers, it may be easier to find non-caster modifiers you want on a warstave before crafting on minion modifiers. However, you pay the price of not being able to have any caster modifiers on your weapon.

From my intuition, a decent crafted staff can be as simple as using an essence of fear to get the minion damage, and then crafting on minion attack speed. this works for other 2H melee weapons as well. Roll more times or multimod to get additional mods you may like.
