Wait. I can get chaos orbs from a vendor?

I am a persistent but casual POE player, meaning:

* I play every league, but
* Rarely make it passed Level 80 / T3 maps before the League restarts

Even though I have played since Heist, I am still missing super basic things.

For example, I just found out that you can sell full sets of 60+ armor to vendors to get Chaos Orbs. What?!?!?!

I have read several messages and watched several YouTube videos about "how to make money" in POE, but somehow I missed this one. I blame my terrible attention span.

At any rate, for a persistent casual person like myself, are there other relatively simple techniques for just getting some more chaos orbs? It doesn't necessarily need to be the most efficient thing, just relatively easy. It seems that a lot of advice in this area is oriented towards expert players who are trying to maximize efficiency in the late end game. And / or people who love really complicated systems ;).

So far, I seem to have:

* Sell sets to vendors
* Heists

Any others?

You can make plenty of C farming gear for the recipe
I farmed up a couple hundred 2 leagues ago (SSF for rolling maps)
I use one tab for rings/amulets, 1 for belts and fill in with gear as needed.

Wait til he hears about ex shards from influenced recipe

and if the entire set is unidentified, you get 2 chaos back.

Ultimatum gives a lot of chaos and currency in general, much better than doing chaos recipe

^ this, chaos recipe is a noob trap unless you are very efficient at it so if you want to use the recipe make sure you've got some kind of system going with your tabs to quickly store everything.
