FAST hitting Zealot-Paladin || Double strike + Multistrike build !!

Hey dudes!

Im thinking of a fast hitting D2-style Paladin with Scepter(Mace) and Shield, double strike and the upcomming triple attack melee support gem with faster attacks, for serious fast hitting pala action^^ leap for fast movement and dominating blow + meleesplash+AoE+duration/multi.

Current tree lvl 61:

Lvl 70 tree

Lvl 80 tree

So I will get Resolute techniques + Unwavering stance, for always Hit plus never get Stunned to make my block much more efficient and not disturbing.

With EB I will have lots of mana to use for Auras, going for Wrath, Anger, Discipline, Haste and/or Purity and Tempest shield .

As I will deal Elemental dmg, I dont need to level double strike or leap/groundslam. This minimizes my mana-use and makes even low mana-reg very very useful.

Ele-weakness for Curse.

Skills and linked gems and the links+colors I will need (also for me so I can look it up :) )

Spoiler
Auras: 6-7+reduced mana - 4L RBB+B/G  RBBB or RBBG
Reduced mana + tempest shield + either haste+purity or discipline+haste/purity

totem for lifereg maybe

leap+LL/LGOH+Faster attacks+melee ele dmg -4L RRRG
dual+LL/LGOH+Multistrike+FasterAttacks+weaponeledmg - 5L GGRRR
DominatingBlow+Splash+ 2 of these: multi,Duration,inc.AoE - 4L RRRB or so
ele curse
arctic/molten depending, not sure yet

Thats 23-24 Slots used, and I have 24 slots avaiable ^^ got 1x up to 6L and 3x up to 4L fully used, and weapon+shield 3L that I wont need linked actually. maybe another reduced mana to wrath+anger or such and moltenshell+inc. AoE or so?

Any suggestions / advice about changes in tree or skill-suggestions would be appreciated !

Peace and greets

up, gimme feedback :D
Can't say much about skill set and overall concept of very fast hitting character, but one thing that struck me about your build is very, very low life. 96% increased maximum life isn't going to cut it, especially that you have Eldritch Battery so no Energy Shield on top of that. Your build has acces to some good life nodes, get them. Around 200% increased life is kind of mandatory for every melee character.
Yeah I'll pick life nods as I need them, just that I was trying to get the most important keynods by lvl 65 and from then on (and if needed until then), life will ofc. be taken into acount.

In final build (first post updated) there are 182% life nods to be taken.

With a 30% block chance shield (looking for more though) and tempest shield plus the shield nods, I'm aining to have around 65% blockchance at least.

Combined with unwavering stances and 12% blockchance for spells from tree plus 50% block chance to spells from legendary amulett (or shield), maybe grab a "xx blockchance to projectiles" on a shield and the spell-block from amulett, not entirely sure just yet.

But survival is ofc. taken into consideration allready :-P Am lvl 21 and doing fine so far (ofc :-D)

As I'll pick up 60-75% allres through nods and probably use Purity, I won't have to focus much on Allres on gear, so I can focus more on health as well and compensate the missing nods a bit.

Thanks for the input!

edit:

Also, Ground slam is quite a good AoE (for now), as I dont need to lvl it up, mana costs would stay quite low if I keep it until late game as well. Not sure yet about what to do for AoE yet though. Waiting for the support gems to be released yet!

Hey there, I am looking to do a similar build and would like to discuss what I have with you. Please add me

Some of the characters I play:

ChompZero
Daisojo
DrKucho
Sure or message me ingame : WrathOfLightning

greets
Question, now I'm lvl 50 and..

how should I regenereate my life? as phys melee I just grab lifeleech but as ele i can only use support gems linked to skills to get such.

getting 5% lifereg through tree is possibru but ruins the way I wanted to go, I could pick up 2,5%-3,3% tho, that wont solve it totally tho.

Lifegain on hit over Lifeleech probably??, since I will use dualstrike+fasterattacks+multistrike+weaponeledmg LGOH is probably better choice or depending on DPS?

Maybe on a 6L add Lgoh AND LL?

edit: may I ask a question?

the unique shield "aegis aurora" seems to fit good to my build, but does the "get 4% of ES when blocking an attack" apply to my mana now that my ES is converted to mana ?

So say I have 500 ES converted to mana I should get 20 mana each block? Would I get that or doesnt that work???

Else I would probably take lioneyes remorse or just a rare shield with fitting stats (?)

Yo i'm lvl 59 now and just got unwavering stance.

Works great so far, dealing super dmg and going to lvl 70 now.

updated Tree lvl 70

basically adds 60% life (got +80% atm so a huge improvement), 2,5% lifereg (have non atm), 15% attackspeed and 20% AoE radius+8% AoE dmg. So overall quite nice and my performance ingame should get way better by the next 11 lvl.

Also here my current gear:

Spoiler

By lvl 70 I'd like to have my armor be 5L so I can have doublestrike+multistrike+faster attacks + LGOH + weapon ele dmg, get my helm 4L to add faster attacks to groundslam (or leap) and maybe boots 4L too to get 3 auras linked to reduced mana.

Will probably go on using ground slam and when multistrike comes out I thought about using LEAP instead, so I can leap into mass and start spamming doublestrike+multistrike, then leap to next and doublestrike them to death. Leap will also be used with LGOH and I'll go for the +20% AoE at starting area, which saves me 3 int nods too because I can skill to the life nods right away with 1 int nod = 2 skill points saved :-P

Also thought about adding arctic armor, can handle the manareg and wont be moving too much as ill leap to enemies (currently about 1650 mana and 380 mana for use and 40 manareg/sec). Using it allready.

Molten shell is just so super stupid to recast, i dont like it personally.

After lvl 70 I will aim the Inner Force to buff my 5-6 Auras and then either go for the +10% block or/and add more life. Time will tell.

Feedback appreciated :-D

I'm lvl 61 now and excited to lvl further and try mutlistrike today !

With multistrike I will now exchange ground slam with leap

use double strike finally as main attack instead of ground slam

and dominating blow with melesplash (and maybe multistrike)

So i leap in, use dominating blow once (multistrike would be kinda good then with meleesplash as im in middle of enemys) and doublestrike the shit out of them.

Excited to try that, also updated first post with all the skills im gonna use and linked support gems to them ! Will add the current trees later today and the more updated final build!

Some feedback would be cool :P

lol at 200% life passive. i can do any map mod with 2.5k life easily. stop copy pasting hardcore players.
