Funny solution for: poe gets stuck in the gear screen

Hello all
this part of the forum is called technical support. But it is not called "technical support by GGG", it should renamed in "..by users ;). Almost a political satire in the naming; a little semantic joke. As already described in an another post: POE starts on my pc, but I only see gears and in the task manager poe has the status: inactive. Now a user (J_e_d_d_e_n) wrote in this forum part the following:

Solution:
1. go to Nvidia Control Panel
2. go to the Display tab
3. lower the resolution to 1366x768
4. run as admin PathOfExile.exe (inside the game folder) (running the shortcut as admin also works)

after running it successfully the first time, you can now change the resolution higher than 1366x768.

Sounds totally stupid, so I tried it out. And my client works. Totally crazy. But it gets even better: When I close poe again to restart it with this method: same problem again: gear logo and poe inactive.
Solution: I changed the screen resolution back to any other and poe runs again and so on. I can't see any logic in this, but there certainly is one; i am not into IT. Maybe this is a test on the part of GGG to see how far we can think around the corner. Or maybe it's the way they work in New Zealand in general. Or both :). A little hint from me: GGG, please do not model or build hospitals or bridges; also no ships or aeroplanes. You are going broke.

So thanks to J_e_d_d_e_n for thinking outside the box.

Good luck for all, maybe it will work...or not :)

Update:
I played now for an hour: POE runs perfect, without any crashes or other problems. Only i have to do this strange workaround i mentioned in this post.
