Player knockback immunity?

Is there a way to make my character immune to knockback?
I am playing a Tectonic Slam Chieftain with Fist of War. When I initiate the slam if I move at all the attack stops attacking this also applies to enemies causing knocback, i.e. knocking me back. You will also lose warcry charges. The Fist of War attack is a slow wind up and occsionally fast moving enemies can hit me, knock me back, stop my attack and result in my death. This has happened several times today while leveling from 80-83 and is still happening. This is a fun build and if I can stop this from happening it will be a great build. I have searched the internet and find only conversations about enemy immunity. Can I prevent this knockback against me from occuring? Any ideas? Yes, but there are drawbacks
Kaom's Roots interrupting your attack is likely the stun part and not the actual knockback. The boots solve both issues though. |

" I can actually simulate it in my hideout by attacking and then moving before the slam occurs. If my feet move at all the attack stops. It will stop the attack use warcry charges as if it attacked and not attack. I can litterally see my toon move when hit but don't see any stun indication on screen at all. Thanks for the Kaom's Roots idea. |

you are mixing many things together, knockback (only pushes you back but no interruption), stun (action interruption, nothing else) and mechanics, that allow players to cancel their own actions

" Thank you for explaining that. It makes sense. I am a somewhat new player. But, I got some Kaom's Roots and went back to the same area in delve where this occured repeatedly and went through it with ease. I faced the same situation that was causing my attack to stop, and would eventually result in death, only this time the attack continued. I got surrounded like before, got attacked like before, started the attack like before, but the attack continued which cleared the screen and I lived through it. So maybe knockback does stop the attack because these Kaom's Roots did solve the issue. Now, they do have unwavering stance preventing stun but wouldn't there be an indication of a stun happening? or no? Either way, Kaom's roots solved my issue whether it is from knockback immunity or stun immunity. |

Stun indicator only appears for longer stun (I think over 1/3 of second), but any stun, no matter how brief, will interrupt the attack.

What Ludvator means is that you are doing what is known as animation cancelling.
This is when you move before the damage portion of the skill has begun. This will stop the attack from completing. With slow skills like slams it can be annoying, but it does prevent you form being stuck in place if you need to dodge a hit while using things like multistrike that used to keep you rooted for the entire animation of the skill you were using. This is by game design now. |

" Thank you for the response. Maybe I wasn't clear but I understood that part. That made total sense. I just was not sure if it was a knockback that was causing the attack to stop because I could see my character get moved from a hit. He said, it was from stun. I thought I should have seen box up in the upper left corner of the screen to indicate I got stunned. I just read about both on the POE Wiki and he is correct it was from the stun. |

" Thanks for the help. I read on the wiki about stun and knockback. You were correct about that. Appreciate the info |
