Why do the use of Empower/Enhance Support Gems raise Mana Reservation amount of Herald Gems?

I am trying to use Empower/Enhance Support Gems with Herald of Thunder, Herald of Ice, and Artic Armour. All three of these gems say they reserve 25% Mana... Which they do, until I socket an Empower/Enhace Support Gem linked to all three... with the Empower Gem socketed the Mana reservation goes up from 75% to 93%, and with the Enhance Support Gem the Mana reservation goes up from 75% to 86%.
As it says nothing on any of these gems about the mana reservation going up as you increase gem levels or gem quality levels of the gems, I am confused as to what is happening or why. Can someone explain this? Thanks... ============================== Last bumped on May 17, 2021, 12:11:29 AM
