Build Costs

I have been lurking around since June 2013. More love than hate for this game; meaning, I leave and come back from time to time.

Left in 2019 came back with new league. I have noticed something I simply do not remember from the past.

Seems to me the cost of builds has inflated huge. Six link Chest piece was always expensive if you are looking for a particular unique. You all know them Loreweave, Shavronne's, Inpulsa's and so on.

Now add in cluster jewels, awakened, divergent gems and build price for end game builds inflated to what I would call an all time high.

I am not complaining just pointing out costs are just plan crazy these days.

Lastly,

In all these years I have had a head hunter drop once and I play mostly standard for that reason. Love that belt. I still remember the day it happened. I was jumping around screaming and my wife thought I was dying. She came in all afraid something had happened. Doubt she understands to this day why I was so excited. Thinking back I am not sure if it dropped or I got it in the Temple.

You don't need all that stuff over night. Play the game for fun.

If you're playing since 2013 you'll also remember that Shavs used to cost 100ex. Mjonir was also 60ex or so before nerfs. There was also several other uniques in the 20ex+ range.

All that stuff was unattainable for any casual back then. Prices of things are much cheaper now unless you're going for near perfect rare items.

This league started off bad. So many exploits and an ungodly amount of currency as a result. Now there are all these players sitting on mountains of chaos and exalts, so the prices on items skyrocket. Man brings greed no matter where he goes.

divergent qual / awakened perfect cluster and such are really endgame optimisation that are not mandatory at all for making builds work.
It's pretty nice there is so many vector now to improve your character than before so if you really want to push it to it's limit you have way much more room than before.
But getting the char going ? all that is not required

Ggg I’ve been playing since betrayal on Xbox and I love your game and last league “ritual” was amazing, I was able to make lots of currency try cool builds and had a blast! I was almost able to afford a headhunter and I’ve never had one. But now in ultimatum it’s back to only the players that can play all day everyday and the 1% that know ways to exploit the game being the only ones that get to really have fun while the people like me that play solo after work everyday and all weekend don’t have a chance,those players are already farming 5way monoliths with headhunters before I can even get enough splinters for a single emblem.
Please think about the large amount of your players that play fair have jobs,families, and don’t exploit the game so we can have fun and try cool and interesting builds too!
