Can we talk about Auto Enforcer and how broken it is?
If you are not aware of what I am talking about, it is a android monster located in Repository and Tunnels encounters during (heists). He uses a spell that cast a gigant slow moving ball that explodes after some time dealing a RIDICULOUS AMMOUNT OF DAMAGE.
I just died at level 96 in UHC with 8k HP and 78% all resists after 1 ball hit me. The curious thing about this death is I just did a Awakener 8 in my charac then I said whatever, let's roll some heists. And bumppppppp im fucking dead with one hit. I was kinda pissed off tbh and I decided to google and poedb this mob and I realized some really interesting ( and broken ) status, one of these is this: ![]() Soooooo GGG ... or anyone out there: can you please tell me why a random magic mob in heist HITS HARDER THAN SIRUS AWAKENER 8? One of the spells of this mob (exactly what one shot me) hits 17k cold damage. YES. 17k cold damage (base cold damage). But he is not a boss right, sirus or a conqueror, he can have auras like powerful crits, extra cold damage, extra elemental damage, what probably gives this mob around 30k HIT COLD DAMAGE. I had 9k HP and died to one shot with 78% cold resist. This means I got hit by something around 40k COLD DAMAGE. This is LESS damage than Sirus Meteor (the highest damage taken we can take in sirus fight). Just wondering... is that ok? I know GGG balance in this game its terrible or don't even exist, I know they dont care with HC too... but there is any special reason why this magic mob IS SO ASBOLUTELY BROKEN and hits harder than Awakener? By the way, here is a sweet gif I found in internet to explain everything I said in this thread: https://gfycat.com/likablesecrethoneybadger You can tank Sirus beams but you can't tank Auto Enforcer balls. Absolutely broken. It seems I am not the only one wondering wtf is going on with this mob damage. 40k cold damage hit. If GGG nerf it by half still broken. OMFG! Any GGG developer can read this thread and tell me... why? If there is a reason I would like to know. PS: I am a veteran HC player. Since 2014. The problem is not my death itself, I died at 99 to a disconnect already, I can deal with it. The thing is.... wtf is going on with this mob? My end, it justifies my means, All I ever do is delay, My every attempt to evade, The end of the road And my end.... White Mobs deal more damage than bosses got a problem with that?

You have played HC since 2014 but you walk back into slow moving projectile attacks? You build defensive layers to mitigate the risk of dying to one shots, not eliminate them. Even with a properly built character, you should still be dodging attacks where possible.
You also haven't factored in Heist map mods (your clip shows -4% maximum resistance per 25% alert level, 22% increased monster damage), potentially not having steelskin up (not on CWDT); even in the clip provided it looks like your molten shell was off when you ate the projectile. |

Once I complained getting oneshot by one of these at 7.2K, 77 res.
Got told that I must git gud and avoid the ball no matter what. Obviously rare mobs with shaper slam damage potential don't bother the PoE community anymore. So, just don't get hit. It's all fine. This is a buff © 2016

16k cold damage is 4k net damage against 75 res. For a spectacular slow moving attack thats super easy to avoid i don't think that's all that much? Even your average 5k life 75 res glasscannon can survive it. Obviously this can get ugly if you juice the heist to the limit and/or are unlucky enough to have a room full of rares with nasty auras but that's kind of the point of risk vs reward?
You juice your map enough and chances are you'll die, that's how it should be. And yes trash mobs can hit harder than bosses with nasty enough map mods so what? Should we be able to juice our boss fights as well? Or should maps no longer be juiceable? Like honestly, help me understand, what do you expect? Should all trash mobs be zdps by default and unaffected by map mods to make sure that it's impossible to get killed by them? Is that how you think the game should work? I don't get it. |

" to be fair heist (even scoured) is always juiced for damage by clusters of rares grouping together. ggg just keep adding more and more spike damage in small areas, but certainly theres ways to play around it or mitigate the dmg. Last edited by vousi_1#9516 on Apr 28, 2021, 5:32:13 AM

![]() I couldn't resist. Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. 'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league. Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave. |

GGG’s design philosophy is that slow moving projectiles deal more damage because you should see them coming and avoid them.
Funny enough, it’s not even the worst offender in heists. Lucky you died and don’t have to see the other spells heist has. The only complaint I have with getting hit by dumb 50k damage projectiles is that sometimes the texture streaming has not seen fit to load the texture that’s about to kill me and I die to an invisible projectile. I don’t like the one shots, so I play softcore. I don’t have time to reroll every time a sirus-influenced mob that GGG accidentally gave 10x intended damage to decides to one-shot my 8k es/60k armour character through molten shell and fortify. If one-shots did not exist then hardcore wouldn’t ever kill people. Look at d2, which funny enough has some of the worst players in it because it contains the only players that think d2 is hard. |

IMO the guard captain dude (with all the fire attacks) in templar heists is worse. He can shotgun you with his projectiles, and it's far less telegraphed than the auto enforcer's giant balls of death.
I died to auto enforcers many times in heist league. You learn to be terrified of their balls. After raising one as a spectre much later, I found myself reflexively dodging the spectre's balls even though they were harmless to me... Украина в моём сердце

I hate those guys.
To all the people saying it's a slow moving projectile and you shouldn't have been hit anyway... FU The worst is when you're in a tight area, like a tunnel, or a hallway with a door, or whatever. they've already fired their ball off screen, and it hits you and you never saw it coming, because you just rounded said tunnel curve, or door, or hallway. So yeah, sometimes, there's no way to avoid it. Now, I've learned they added a loud prompt, like a big holding of one's breath, before the ball is fired. When I hear that, because usually you don't even see the guys, I just turn around. Last edited by Spurnshadow#0836 on Apr 28, 2021, 2:42:39 PM
