"Players can start delving from act 4 onwards.." is a lie???
Could someone please tell me if I am understanding this correctly or where I am wrong?
If I understanding this correctly, they say "Players can start delving from act 4 onwards..." But you can't delve past the tutorial until you find more sulphite and Sulphite comes from running certain maps with a map device and you can't get those until the Epilogue. So players can access the mine at act 4 but can't actually use the mine until you about finish the game? I used to play back when their were 5 acts. I recently returned and made a new character then Ultimatum came out and I made another. That character has reached Act 8 but I have still not found a single piece of Sulphite and all my google research says you need to get it from running map device maps. If I am ignorant, please don't laugh and please help. Thanks! Last bumped on Apr 28, 2021, 6:50:15 PM

Hey there, DimlyLit!
Once you encounter Niko in Act 4 and unlock access to the Azurite Mine, you'll be able to encounter Niko randomly in areas after that point, so you'll be able to acquire more Sulphite before reaching endgame maps if you wanted to do more delving before that point! | |
@OP
There is no reliably repeatable way to get sulphite in acts. Niko may show up or he may not. And the amount you get when he does is minimal. You are correct that you can't plan to do a bunch of delving until you get to maps. |

As I said JC, I have made it to act 8, clearing all maps as I go, and I have never seen a sulphite deposit or Miko on any of those maps. Have seen all other game mechanics numerous times.

Well that's just bad luck then. IIRC he has a rather high chance to pop up in the mine segments in act 4, though that could just be confirmation bias on my part.
But yeah you won't get very far from pre-map deposits even if you target farm them. The sulphite costs grow pretty fast. Украина в моём сердце

As GreyLensman says, his appearance in later areas is not guaranteed, so it is possible that you wouldn't see him again until you're in the endgame! You may also try creating a new instance of a zone you've checked already by Control-clicking the entrance of the area or the waypoint on the waypoint map and choosing to create a new instance. This could give you a chance of encountering sulphite deposits in that area this next time through.

" Question. Is it a requirement to actually speak to niko in act 4 for you to be able to encounter him later on in the story or can you just run into him randomly like with alva once you hit the correct area without ever talking to him in town? or more simply Is speaking to niko in town a must to delve before maps? |

His quests starting in Act 4 are optional in terms of progressing the story, but I imagine you need to talk to him before you can travel to the mine or get him to appear in your hideout. I confess I never tried though.
It could well be that you will get his small quest line, and access to the mine, if you speak to him at any point he shows up. i.e., if you don't talk to him in act 4, he probably still randomly shows up in a later act or two. If you ignore him completely in acts, he probably still shows up randomly in maps. I doubt you can travel to the mine without talking to him at least once though. And whether you can accumulate his daily missions if he's not in your hideout because you've never talked to him - someone else will have to comment. Thanks for the replies players. I'm just going to consider this as something that GGG very poorly implemented, and move on.

GGG nerfed the wild master spawn rate....in map it is 1%. (edit: 1 +1+1+1+1=5 for all 5 masters)
Blame the bot farming. Also in act there is only one wing instead of 3 for betrayal encounter This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee.
