Monsters fire 2 additional projectiles actually triples projectiles?

Not sure if this is new or intended or not, but it seems like conquerors (Redeemer at least) triple their projectiles with the "Monsters fire 2 additional projectiles" mod instead of just firing 2 additional projectiles. If this is intentional, then its a bit misleading.
