insane Lagspikes - Telekom Germany - Pingplotter Imgurs included

hey there,

since this league I got a really hard time playing this game, because its lagging all the time. like literally every 2 seconds.

I already have a weird internet connection with DSL + LTE Hybrid from telecom germany, because my net is so trash here. but i could play poe just "fine" aka predictive mode, but barely any lags or desyncs for the past 2 years. the problem occured this league. (keep in mind i only played last league for like 3 weeks)

this league however, i desync every 2nd pack, i attack the wall for 3 seconds before im dead on the ground, or just attacking a monster 5 times before it registered any hits. its literally unplayable and im not exaggerating.

Since i contacted telecom already, they "switched" some port in their "station" for my DSL connection. I setup my router so it only connects via DSL to poe (and ignores the LTE line completely) - still laggy - still unplayable.

i collected a few screenshots from pingplotter from various servers in either AMSTERDAM and LONDON. only ONE connection to the game itself has no packetloss, at least from my understanding. I'm fairly new to the topic and no network specialist or anything like that.

In the pictures you can see, that London - 64.46.108.158 is the only with almost no "red" in it. all the other screenshots show "red" at some point, and i dont know what to do anymore.

Is it telekom's "fault"? GGG's fault? the server provider GGG choose? some bridge inbetween?

I just want to know what "I" can do, or who i can contact to get better, playable results, because right now, its unplayable.

thanks

Most of what you are seeing in those traces isn't packet loss. When a hop has PL and it then carries through to the end of the trace, that is true PL.

What you are seeing is something called ICMP packet depriortization. In a nutshell, the ping packets are being dropped so that the more important data can go through unhindered.

but why does it happen? and who is responsible for that?

i know my LTE connection is lower priority via the contract, so if 1 million people are using the same LTE pole that i am on, i get no data.

but I (should) play path of exile only through my DSL connection.

Can I somehow do anything against me getting de-prioritised?
