How are you supposed to play a slam build with 13 active skills?

I've took Steelmage's Jammer Slammer that Ziz posted as a starter.

Checked the build in general but i've missed the fact that it uses 13 different active skills (i even removed some).

Ground Slam
Vaal Ground Slam
Intimidating Cry
Seismic Cry
Enduring Cry
Flame Dash
Blood Rage
Ancestral Warchief
Vaal Ancestral Warchief
Blood Rage
Flesh and Stone
Molten Shell
Vaal Molten Shell


It's non-functional...

If it is non funcitonal, then you should tell Steelmage and Ziz that.

Be sure to post updates here.
13 is exactly the amount of active skills that will fit on your bars. 3 on mouse buttons, 5 on regular bar, 5 on ctrl bar.

Besides, I see blood rage listed twice there, and I'm guessing that (regular) molten shell is hooked up to cast when damage taken. That brings it down to 11 (12 if I'm wrong about molten shell).

My bad, but its still 13.

I really can't play a build with 2 rows of active skills. Would rather uninstall. This is the first build ever that I encounter with this many buttons.
lol yeah I wouldn't play it either. Flasks + move skill + main skill is ideal. I'll tolerate another active skill if it's a vaal cooldown or a simple debuff I throw on bosses, but that's it.

Pretty much me too.
I can piano 4 flasks, full row of skills and maybe Blood Rage in second row to activate at the map start. But that's it. I just can't play this. And if you remove half of the stuff well then its going to be crap of a char since you will either loose damage or defense.

I tried a slam build last summer when the new stuff came out and had the same reaction.

I'm not a one-button guy. I'm fine with flasks and 5-8 skills if the build works that way. But I won't look at build with more than that.
Guess the reason i don't mind multi button builds is mostly because i hardly ever bother with flasks. I get the plague with pathfinder relatively fast because of necessary flask piano but i can play slam skills all day.
Welcome to the joys of melee slams Torstein.

Jokes aside slams work for t16 maps and their damage multipliers are among the best when disregarding attack speed and looking for single hits.
Many buttons are the price that you need to pay for many damage multiplers for melee.

I think your list misses Ancestral Protector which can be summoned once Vaal Ancestral Warchief is placed. I know its clunky as hell but what can you do?

At least the damage is better than non poison melee Strike Skills by some big margin.

Most of those are optional though, you won't run 3 Vaal skills you'd get like one go of each on a boss and they'd interfere with each others generation.

Its just a series of buffs which you use for bosses only then like GS/VGS, flame dash for regular play.

I mean I get it they put too many buttons on the build but in this case I think its just because this is all the things you could use, you just probably won't.
