Complex Watcher's Eye Interaction Question

Ok so if I have a corrupted belt with a 20% increased hatred buff effect in conjunction with a hatred watchers eye (flat cold but it doesnt matter really for the question) does the 20% increase to aura effect also empower the effects of the watchers eye jewel... if not... why shouldn't it?

it grants you something while affected by an aura. it does not become part of your aura, it does not affect allies in aura radius. therefor, it cant be affected by aura effect mods.

there is a mod that adds effects to auras, it's wording is: auras grant..

this was my assumption.

I am not a mathematician by any means, but I still am curious, why haven't there been any means of modifying damage through these means.

I suppose that the auras them selves can be linked to support gems and those effects would most likely benefit from aura effect, but the added cost to mana reservation in most cases is not more suitable than just stacking another complimentary aura (Hatred + Herald of Ash vs Hatred linked to Empower and whatever other supports actually function, maybe controlled destruction works I haven't tried). Perhaps I really should just try something like this out in PoB for a while.

Does anyone know what the realistic ceiling is for scaling aura effect? there is what, 50-60% on weapons, another 20 to a singular aura as the belt corrupt, then maybe if you're really going in on it like 120 from cluster jewels, and then if you are being completely unrealistic there is about 60% more on the passive tree. Only about 260%.

now this is the part where I prove that I'm not actually very good at math. does that ultimately mean that hatred with 260% increased aura effect while assuming a level 25 hatred will yield a 62.4% "more cold damage" to the character as opposed to the standard 20%?
