Jewellery's quality affect essence quality?

I heard jewellery's quality is affect to increase the weight of options related to quality(catalyst's) type.

Does this apply equally to essence crafting?

it means, if I apply attribute catalyst 20% quality to my ring and I use essence.
so, can i get more chance to get intel or dex 1T?

No.

Certain orbs have text telling you how they interact with quality. Examples:



the grey text on the bottom has information about what they do when used on jewelry with quality.

Other crafting methods (chaos spam, essence, fossils), do not consume quality to give you better chances of seeing those mods.

I'm inclined to believe Essencecraft is a very obsolete way of rolling modifiers, since Essences bypass even benchcraft ("Cannot roll xxx modifiers", just saying). So no, I believe Catalyst quality can only affect those currencies that specifically mention it in their description
