Movement blocked by overlay, effects and a randomized movement in hideout

A movement command or directional attack will not be executed if you accidently hover over a symbol of skill, flask, Exp-bar or effects.

As excample:
With many active buffs effects (Headhunter anyone) and a build relying on dodging playstile, this often gets a "deathtrap" if the only "escape path" is a narrow spot which is blocked because of effect symbols.

Or let the player decided to completly "ghost" the overlays, including flaskbar, skillbar, etc.

Maybe intentional but couldn't find information:

Only In hideout every click in the uppermost left corner (1pixel) seems to execute strange movements.
I did try it several times in hideout an the char starts to move to a random "interactable object" , going to Stash, Craftingstation, Zana, Waypoint etc.

I tried to use search if this was already suggested, or reported but couldn`t find a thread.

This is a problem either by the client itself having "Dead Zones", or server side skills having a specific range.
Probably a combination of both, as I have two examples.

If you try to use a skill outside a specific range, it will not be used, regardless of the skill.

To help visualize this problem, use the following Radius Chart:
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Distance

Skills will not cast if they are above a Radius of about 80, some have lower at about 75.
This probably also varies depending on your monitor resolution / client size, as it is able to render further distances.

This problem is increased because the client itself has User interface "Dead Zones", which will not allow you to use a skill on those zones.
Mostly this affects the "Bottom" of the client where the game window, what is rendered "in world", meets the user interface.

This also changes when the Camera decides to zoom out. As now your skill radius has 'shrunk' on screen, shortening the distance you can use skills. (Example 2)

I noticed this somewhere back in 2019 and decided to record examples.

Example 1: Skill Range Limit

Example 2: Zoomed Camera + Skill Range Limit

Example 2 is probably another reason people hated the Zoomed Camera in the Sirus fight.

Side Rant

They changed shield charge a while back, which causes it to not move your character when your mouse is within a certain (overly large) radius of your center player character.
This has caused me to die as a result of not moving when I want to, and has become frustrating at times when mapping. I have since then stopped using the skill.
You would think "Use in place" would override this but it does not.
"The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence."
Thanks for your reply.

I made some additional testing and possibly found the reason.

This is only happening if your skill or simple "walk to" is bound to your mouse buttons.

as example tested:
Blade vortex -- casting with right mouse button.
Place mouse pointer over a running Buff-Symbol --> will not cast anymore
Move only -- "cast" with left mouse button
Place mouse pointer over a running Buff-Symbol --> will not "cast" anymore

For travelskills i know these range limitations you explained, which of course is also suboptimal behaviour (could be solved as "Travel into direction if further than max cast/skill range")

Simply said, place your mousepointer over a Buff-Symbol and cast/execute via left/right mousebutton is not working anymore.

-------------------
the strange "moves to random interactable point" in hideout was tested in "borderless window mode" if this helps.
You can turn off some of the buff icon i think....
