Physical reflect bug

I used to be able to play phys reflect maps by wearing my elder rings. But now, i randomly die from reflect damage somehow. As if the rings suddenly stopped working. I have tested a few times. And there have been no changes on my end, tree or equip wise.

Without any more information, it's hard to point to exactly what your issue might be.

"Reduced reflected physical damage taken" stacks additively with sources of "increased damage taken". Things like wearing an Abyssus, applying Vulnerability on hit, or being shocked can increase your damage taken, allowing you to take reflected damage again.
I have elder rings that shield me and minion from reflected damage at 105%.
All i deal is phys damage. I use ethereal knives. The rings have provided protection in reflect maps until recently. It would at random kill me instantly to reflect. I've died enough times to reflect in the past to know the cause of death.

yeah none of all the "bug reports" about this topic have ever been right.
All were down to not understanding GGG's mechanics about increase/more and reduce/lessor.
So again, it's most likely down to using abysses (or similar items) / curse on hit or other curse setup's / getting shocked or something like this.

But again, if you want to make a proper bug report here (per the guidelines) then we will need lots more information -->
- Either make your char public or publish a full POB link.
- Video of you showing map mods, atlas mods and then going into the map and playing there so it's clearly showing when you die.
I have poacher's mark curse on hit...
but since the added damage is also physical, why woulnd't I be immune due to my rings ??? I swear I was able to play phys reflect maps perfectly. I have modified myself in no way to have triggered this sudden change. I dont use abyssus. only uniques are mings heart.

100% reduced does not equal to 100% less


100% less = total immune (if there is no other more/less source)


100% reduced from ring but shocked / cursed / Abyssus / other increased damage taken = final calculation is not 100% reduced, may be 90%/70% reduced = you still take reflect damage

Indeed, the flat damage from Poacher's Mark would be diminished by your "reduced reflected physical damage taken". While the Mark also applies -20% physical damage reduction, I think that's a different calculation step than increased/reduced damage taken.

The other points still stand though: standing on Shocked ground or maps with "Players are cursed with Vulnerability" would add to your "increased damage taken" and let you die to reflect again.

Restating the point above: 100% reduced reflected damage taken is not "immune to physical reflect" because sources of "increased damage taken" will make you take reflected damage again.

...Ah, right, Unnerve is also a source of "increased spell damage taken". Do you have gear that applies that, or do you use Blast Blast?
Solved.

Its the map mod Player vulnerability that kills me. I think its still wrong though. The player takes more dmg from monsters thanks to the map curse, but the phys reflect is sourced from me, not mob. So the 110% reduced phys reflect ought to come into play. It's not like i am running around in the map doing 115% increased damage thus, negating the damn rings. And just when i thought i had beaten phys reflect, THIS rears its ugly head.
The curse makes you take increased physical damage which is additive with your reductions.
