How to deal with reflect damage?
How do i deal with reflect damage without going elementalist or slayer? (which btw is a cheap way to deal with a cheap mechanic) and is reflect damage in poe 2?
If i wear 2 rings with 50% reduced reflect damage, does that make me immune or do i take half damage from reflected damage? Last bumped on Feb 19, 2021, 8:30:19 AM

pantheon and there is stuff you can take on the tree...i'm sure there are other ways as well.

You can get 100% reduced a number of ways, but it's easier just to re-roll maps with the mod or save them for the 3:1 trade or harvest crafts.
The real problem is that even 98% reduced isn't enough to mean anything. You'll still be annoyed by reflect. Last edited by Shagsbeard#3964 on Feb 19, 2021, 7:41:00 AM

Isn't worth the effort. No matter what you do, sooner or later you'll face ele weakness/vuln/shocking ground map, or just get shocked on the go, and your investments and efforts go down the drain.
Just avoid reflect maps, until ggg will finally decide to trash this shit tier mechanic which has nothing to do with modern PoE. ATM it practically serves as a currency sink, that's why they've left it untouched. This is a buff © 2016

So you mean that 100% is only half? thanks for all the replies, i have avoided builds using direct damage but it would be fun to use something like self cast arc, not just damage over time or totems...

100% means 100%, unless...it doesn't
The way it's calculated, any source of increased damage taken will kill you no matter what. Just forget and reroll your maps. This is a buff © 2016

No, 100% is not "only half". 100% means that in normal conditions you won't received reflected damage.
However, bear in mind that the 100% Reduced Reflected damage taken you find on equip is countered by Increase Damage Taken. Some generic examples are Berserker's Rite of Ruin, wearing an Abyssus or a The Beast Fur Shawl, being shocked and affected by it (Being shocked while wearing an Inpulsa is ok), being Scorched. Expecially "being shocked" is, most of the time, what kills a build that believes to be immune to Reflect. Slayer, Assassin, Elementalist and their ascendancies are the only way to obtain "Cannot take Reflected damage", and therefore are the only, real safe way to deal with Reflected Damage (Assassin is now included since 100% Critical Strike Chance is a thing. Remember, however, that some of your hitting skills have a 0% critChance - for example, bolts from Herald of Thunder or any Unarmed Attack Damage). Anything else need some special attention in order to be viable. The general consensus still applies: it is useless to have less than 100% Reflected Damage, since even 1% of your AVG is more than enough to kill you - even more since powercreep is increasing the Average Exile Joe's DPS at every new league EDIT: oh, right. Totally forgot about it. DoT and Chaos Damage cannot be reflected. Yet. And even if it will, you can still go Chaos Inoculation. Last edited by Maxtrux#0762 on Feb 19, 2021, 8:25:03 AM

Also, indirect damage works to avoid it. Minions (though they'll die from reflect), totems (same thing), mines and traps.
