Why do blight encounters in Ritual league? or Alva for that matter. Or Bestiary.

Supposing my goal is 36/40 challenges:

Is there a reason to do the Blight encounters for challenges/otherwise? Are they skippable?

How about Alva and the temple? I think that's a skip also.

Oh, and the Beastiary dude. Skip him too? I have 17 red maps for him. Seems pointless to do them.

I'm finding maps are too dense with old mechanics and its slowing down atlas progression. Maybe I'm missing something with these mechanics.

You know they do drop loot and are kinda fun to do right? Why do you have to optimize fun out of a game?

I am on the fence when it comes to Blight encounters. With the new faster blight mod they are good. When they are slow? Not so much. Alva on the other hand is completely worthless unless you get the double corruption. Bestiary is fine, its another mob pack on the map.

other than that, I'll do the blight encounter on the two regions that I have that buffed on but that's it.

Need to get 1000+ Maven witnesses for the challenges. Doing all of the old content just takes forever.

Loot isn't a problem as Rituals are a loot shower.

So what? There is 3 months to do them. There is also tons of people like me who doesnt give a shit about challenges or being the most efficient. Its not a fkn job, just a game. You dont have to optimize every little bit.

I wasn't asking GGG to remove the content. You can do what you wish to do.

I simply was asking if there was a need to do that content in the effort of 36/40 challenges.

it doesnt help with the challenge, you just gotta complete 20 blighted maps for that. I have it buffed in 2 regions, but only because I didn't like any of the other options but it's not all that great. One gives like more chests and the other more oils maybe, can't remember atm.

I love Blight content, Alva, not so much (on melee anyway)
I always do Bestiary just to get the red beasts.
