immortal call
Hey all how do these numbers add up?
" The less physical damage taken per endurance charged removed skill modifier is multiplicative with the innate less physical damage taken skill modifier. For example, Level 1 Immortal Call with 5 endurance charges will give you a total of 81.25% less physical damage taken, not 100%. " I cant see how to get 81.25 I know I must be missing something foolish thanks for the help!! Last bumped on Apr 1, 2021, 4:16:19 AM

it's M A T H !
Base Less Physical Damage from lv1 IC: 25% Extra Less Physical Damage Taken from IC with 5 EC: 15*5= 75% Actual damage taken: (1 * 0.75) * 0.25 = 0.75 * 0.25 = 0.1875 = 18.75% So you are taking 100 - 18.75 = 81.25% Less physical Damage. Remember: More, Increased and Decreased values will stack up. Less damage taken is the only exception to this rule, because those values will multiply with each other rather than add, therefore making it unable for you to reach 100% Less Damage Taken
Damage reduction can't exceed 90% in any case, even when you deal with additive bonuses.
The exception are damage immunities (totems, golems)
" i don't get it. let's suposse that i have lvl 20 immortal call: Base Less Physical Damage from lv20 IC: 35% Extra Less Physical Damage Taken from IC with 5 EC: 15*5= 75% Actual damage taken: (1 * 0.75) * 0.35 = 0.75 * 0.35 = 0.2625 = 26.25% So you are taking 100 - 26.25 = 73.75% Less physical Damage? if it works that way then it's nonsense to level it up also, if it works that way, if you use a lv1 divergent immortal call with 20%quality, on a crest of desire with +5lv and 50%quality of socketed gem, then Base Less Physical Damage from lv6 IC: 28% Extra Less Physical Damage Taken from IC with 5 EC: 8*5= 40% Actual damage taken: (1 * 0.40) * 0.28 = 0.40 * 0.28 = 0.112 = 11.2% So you are taking 100 - 11.2 = 88.8% Less physical Damage? there must be something i'm missing here no third challenge reward since beta lmao

Reviewing the formula I've given, I've noticed a major mistake, and for that I apologize.
The actual one is: 100 * (1-X) * (1-Y) * ... * (1-N), where X, Y and N are all your sources of Less Damage Taken, in magnitude order (big-to-little). So, the actual formula for Lv1 Immortal Call is: --- Base Less Physical Damage from lv1 IC: 25% Extra Less Physical Damage Taken from IC with 5 EC: 15*5= 75% Actual damage taken: 100 * (1 - 0.75) * (1 - 0.25) = 100 * 0.25 * 0.75 = 18.75 So you are taking 100 - 18.75 = 81.25% Less physical Damage. --- for a lv20 Immortal call, this become: --- Base Less Physical Damage from lv20 IC: 35% Extra Less Physical Damage Taken from IC with 5 EC: 15*5= 75% Actual damage taken: 100 *(1 - 0.75) * (1 - 0.35) = 100 * 0.25 * 0.65 = 16. 25% So you are taking 100 - 16.25 = 83.75% Less physical Damage --- While your Divergent IC 20% quality on crest of desire becomes: --- Base Less Physical Damage from lv6 IC: 28% Extra Less Physical Damage Taken from IC with 5 EC: 8*5= 40% Actual damage taken: 100 * (1 - 0.40) * (1 - 0.28) = 100 * 0.60 * 0.72 = = 43.2% So you are taking 100 - 43.2 = 56.8% Less physical Damage --- Divergent IC, as implied, is more useful to grant a certain base damage reduction even for those chars that cannot always have 5 EC on at all times Last edited by Maxtrux on Apr 1, 2021, 3:29:27 AM

" thanks a lot, now i get it. in that case, a 8 level 50% quality crest of desire with a 20lv 20%q IC will give: 63.4 less physical + 59.7 less elemental... juicy. i'm totally trying this! no third challenge reward since beta lmao
