HELP ME PLEASE WITH GORGON

Hello, I really need help because this is the last quest I need from that encounter. I neither fail or complete.
I also used Replica Rumi (took even 2 with me), Kaom Roots, Gorgon's Gaze and tried like 35 times and nothing.
Can someone please explain to me how to complete this challenge??
I'm cold blade vortex and now wondering is something wrong with my build, all tho I checked and don't have any "can't be petrifired".
Help me please :(

This quest/challenge is broken!

I don't think its broken because I just did it today. The way I did it was just using a cast when damage taken with an ice nova and culling strike. Have those links in except the cast when damage taken. Get the boss to 10% or less health and when he does the gaze on you socket the cast when damage back into the ice nova/culling strike. Worked perfectly for me. I also did this on a tier 3 Sulphur vents.

It took me a few tries but here's what I figured out that allowed me to get it:

1) You MUST be stoned by the gorgon, getting stoned by Rumi's alone doesn't do it.

2) Having the debuff alone isn't enough. You must have it long enough to get petrified (i.e. w/o Kaom's, the point where you can't move which takes a couple seconds).

So what I did was:

1) Damage it till it was almost dead

2) Walk right next to gorgon and pop the Rumi's so that the getting stoned part gets a head start (it helps to enchant your Rumi's with Duration through Harvest if you haven't as that massively increases the window you get)

3) Once the gaze starts, wait half a second, then kill it.

I noticed that thread starter has completed that challenge, but just wanna join to say that Southbound gloves was a big help for Gorgon, Burtok and Doedre challenges. Just having Ele Focus on your main skill ensures you can never kill the boss. Then a DoT mechanic like Combustion or Chance to Bleed on a totem. Place the totem when you see Gorgon's red laser eyes. Remove all triggered skills except curses and marks. For minion builds, they use Speaker's Wreath.

You have to damage gorgon, and wait that he "red eyes on you" (like medusa spell), than he turn you to stone. I'm vortex player so it was hard for me. Before he "red eyes on me" petrify me, I started my vortex and it was well played good game hahhaha

Also rumi doesn't help, Gorgon has to petrify you. Learned the hard way..

Rumi's effect last for less than 1s....you can't kill it in-time

I tried Rumi with enchant that last longer and it doesn't work. Gorgons petrify only works for that challenge. Rumi can't help because it doesn't count!
