Alt Tab to Chrome causes major freeze to computer

Let me start by saying that my computer is old. I run Poe on x4 740, gtx 750ti and 8gb ram on an HDD using Windows 7. I played Poe since Metamorph League and doesnt encounter this issue at all till this new texture streaming introduced and this new expansion. Heist League was so smooth to alt tab. Thats why I decided to buy First Blood Pack and Points to buy stashes.

On my observation PoE runs 3gb of ram at startup and ramp up to 6gb ram after 5 maps. Then the alt tab freeze occurs for almost 30 seconds. I don't experience any crashes at all but this alt tab freeze is so annoying because I needed chrome to trade items. Even discord gets freeze and awakened POE trade freeze for about 30secs. I think its because of a memory leak not flushing mainly on Windows 7. I read some threads here in technical support that there is also a memory leak but they crash using Windows 10. Mine don't crash but freezes. CPU is ok, not hitting 100% only up to 60%.

You guys might say I should upgrade my specs but in Heist League it's smooth. This texture streaming purpose is to cater low end machines but in my case it doesn't and make it worse.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't play any new games at all apart from POE cause there is no time available for me to play any other games.

Settings in Game:

DX11 ( i switched to vulkan same problem)
Windowed Fullscreen (switch to windowed same, switch to fullscreen much worse)

I tried -gc 2 and -noasync and still no effect.

can someone help me with this problem?

Bump. If anyone is experiencing the same problem as mine kindly reply and what fix did you guys do?

Same issue for me. I also have an old PC but I've been playing every league since Betrayal and never encountered this problem until this league. Game is a mess right now it seems. Lots of people have different issues and no one has an answer so far...

Game has been smooth for the past two weeks until a couple of days go.
After an hour or so of playing, poe starts to freeze and stutter in juiced up maps. Active a legion monolith - game freezes for 5 seconds and then stutters like crazy - activate a juiced up ritual - same thing.

What works for me is exiting the game and starting it again. It seems to reset all the shittines.

Like i said before, everything has been fine until the most recent update.

same story game is very unstable atm... you never know what might cause freeze/crash for you.

I think by exiting game is forcing the computer to flush out the memory POE is accumulating. I think tho its the memory issue.

But i never install anything apart from updating graphics driver and updating chrome since metamorph league.
