Loot from 100+ Synthesis maps with new atlas passives

TL;DR - They're horrifically bad. Don't run them, just sell them. 50c is insanely overpriced. I have no clue why there is competition to buy them at 50c because you should never run them more than once each ever for the Maven unlock. They should be priced at 25-30c.

The new atlas tree has a Synthesis branch that gives bonuses to Synthesis maps that sound really good on paper. I decided to test this while leveling since Synthesis maps give double exp and there are a decent number of mobs in them. I ran each map followed by The Forgotten invitation after running all 4. The invitation itself dropped about ~1/4.3 maps so I only had to buy a handful across all my runs. When buying maps I tried to buy ones that had 3-4 synthesis mods to get the most loot, but the map loot is not impressive either way.

The Forgotten fight typically drops 5 Maven splinters yellow so you recoup about 0.5ex of your 2ex in losses each rotation. You get two random watchstone drops per fight which can be a few chaos to an ex if you roll a platinum Valdo's I suppose. The fight also can drop rares with multiple synthesized mods (which the maps can't do) and drops 1 synthesis unique on average. The Synthesis unique dropped in The Forgotten doesn't get the guaranteed 3 implicits like the ones that drop in maps do.

The key bonuses in the atlas tree branch are these:
1. Synthesis monsters have a 1% chance to drop a synthesized item.
That sounds really good. You drop around 10-20+ synthesized items per map, each one having a single synthesized implicit. The problem is the pool either doesn't include the rare implicits or they're SO rare that you will literally never see them. Over all the maps I ran I did not drop a single synthesized item with a valuable implicit. NOT ONE SINGLE ITEM OUT OF 1000+ SYNTHESIZED ITEMS. Every single item was worthless. Ritual and Heist print valuable synthesis bases fairly commonly so the rate of rolling the good mods is either zero or close to it specifically with the new Atlas passive.

2. Synthesis bosses drop a well-rolled fractured item
Loot 2.0? That sounds pretty good too. Except it's either not working or all it's doing is rolling the items twice and taking the highest of two modifiers. I identified about 50 of these items before stopping and every single one was worse than loot that drops on the ground. Almost none had any T1 or T2 modifiers at all.

3. All synthesis uniques drop with 3 implicits
This is probably the best mod for gamblers looking for a trophy case item. The cool mods are still extremely rare even when going from ~1.5 mods on average to 3. I only saw 4 interesting mods out of 77 rings (Conductivity on Hit, Spell damage per power charge x2, Vulnerability on Hit.) Three dropped on worthless rings. I dropped one singular circle ring worth over 50c across all of my runs (zero double damage fire or cold rings dropped.) Could be wrong and there's some combination of mods that will get me spammed but I doubt it.

Number of runs: 100+, stopped counting and just went by number of ring drops
Number of Circle rings dropped: 77
Number of Circle rings with valuable implicits dropped: 4
Number of Circle rings worth over 50c dropped: 1
Number of non-watchstone, non-splinter items dropped in The Forgotten fight worth over 5c: 0
Number of raw ex dropped across all runs: 4
Best div card dropped: 1x The Nurse
Number of GCP picked up: ~900 (one of the synth mods showers you in GCP/chisels)
Exp gained: went from level ~98.8-->99.5
Exp per hour at 99: ~30 million. I'm not a speed runner and I stopped to pick up chisels/GCP and hover over every Synth item. You can do way better if you want.
Total cost: 50ex+
Total revenue: probably 25ex or so excepting the one good drop I got (double damage Guilt w/Vulnerability)
Total profit without the single good drop included: negative ~25ex

My takeaway: Chayula runs are going to be faster exp, Valdo Harbinger runs are going to be similar exp (maybe more) and very profitable. There is zero reason to choose to run synth maps for profit or loot if they're over 25c or so. The atlas passives are a trap and are worthless. I had fun gambling though.

Server best rolled Perepiteia? Didn't divine it, just dropped like this. Still not worth much but a cool trophy.
